The President's Message

2026 JBP President, Doug Wilder

This will be a remarkable growth year for the Jacksonville Business Professionals. As we enter our fifth year, I couldn’t be prouder, or more energized, by what we’ve built together and where we’re heading next.

Looking back at last year, we made meaningful progress with membership growth, launching the Associates membership category, laying the groundwork for our Student and Young Professionals program, and refining our officer replacement and bylaw processes.

My 2026 Vision

My 2026 Vision is to build on those solid foundations and reach new heights. Our monthly programs will go beyond informative. They’ll inspire and entertain. Our speakers will connect with audiences in ways that attract not only members, but even local media coverage. Hold onto your hats.

We will continue to host outstanding educational events that fulfill our mission to make business knowledge and resources more accessible to our community. These must-attend occasions, designed to draw sponsors and elevate our visibility, will become both high-impact and financially sustainable.

This year we want to ensure our growth is supported by sound financial stewardship, leaving us stronger at the end of 2026 than we began.

Growth, AI, & Improvements

Our communication and marketing efforts will expand the current systems, integrating automation and AI to make implementation smoother and communications sharper.

We are approaching membership with a three-fold approach, segmented as Recruiting & Partnerships, Vetting & Qualifications, and Retention & Innovation with the goal of creating so much enthusiasm that professionals will be drawn to join and stay.

My prediction? We will be up to 200 members within two years. Together, 2026 isn’t just another chapter—it’s the year we establish JBP as the powerhouse of business professionals in Jacksonville.

We encourage all JBP members to join a committee or guild, how an SGG, and get more engaged in this vibrant and valuable organization. We invite prospective qualified business professionals to join us by completing our membership application to begin the vetting and onboarding process.
